More than 50% of Sea Turtles have Consumed Plastic
Just 9% of our plastic gets recycled. The remaining is either encinerated, or left to pollute our waterways, wildlife, and landfills. By attacking the problem at the source, Ocea helps clothing brands eliminate plastics from their polybags.
A real, at-scale answer to the plastic garment bag crisis.
We understand that change is hard, especially given the ease of plastic. We carefully engineered the Ocea Bag to be a plug and play solution for brands looking to be more sustainable.
FSC Certified
Deforestation currently accounts for at least 10% of global annual carbon emissions, and each year more than 12 million hectares of forest are lost. This is the equivalent of 150 tennis courts, every minute. These forests are a natural solution to climate change as they clean our air, filter our water, and regulate our climate. Through our partnership with FSC, we ensure that the Ocea Film is created from a blend of Post-Consumer Recycled waste, along with paper from responsibly managed forests. This enables the paper to be an effective, large-scale, and circular solution to plastic polybags.
Circularity Framework
-
Manufacturing
We strategically run our Ocea™ film in several of our manufacturing locations globally to ensure lower footprints.
-
Materials
Paper, when used responsibly, embodies a renewable resource. By using PCR content and responsibly sourced paper, we create a scalable model.
-
End Of Life
The cubside recyclability of Ocea™ allows for a more circular lifecycle where recycling rates are significantly elevated.
